Your website has been live for years and it has never brought you a single client. It looks like the accountancy firm down the road because it came from the same place.
We build accounting websites that get found, earn trust and bring the enquiry in.
Why most accountancy websites never bring in a client.

“Our website’s been live for years and never brought in a single client.”
The hosting leaves the account every month. The agency that built it moved on in 2021. Ask the partners where the last new client came from and the answer is always the same. A referral. Someone who already knew the firm.
Nobody ever said what the site was for. The brief was “we need a new website” and success got defined as the partners liking it. Nowhere in that process did anyone ask how many leads it should bring in, or what a visitor should do when they arrive.
You bought a brochure and expected a salesperson.
“Our site looks exactly like every other accountancy firm’s.”
Same factsheets. Same tax calculator. Same tax calendar. Same news article, automatically updated on the same morning, published to four hundred other UK accountancy firms who are all paying for the same fully managed package.
You didn’t buy a website. You rented one. A template, a shared content feed and about five search terms, sold to hundreds of practices at once. It was never yours, which is why it doesn’t sound like you.
So a business owner comparing three accounting firms sees three identical websites and picks on price, because you’ve given them nothing else to pick on. And Google has no reason to rank the same website content twice.
“It’s slow, it’s awkward on a phone, and it ranks for nothing.”
Type your main service into Google. Your firm is nowhere. Open your own homepage on a phone. It takes seven seconds to load.
The person who designed your website and the person responsible for it being found by search engines were never the same person. Design agencies get judged on how a site looks the day it launches. Search engine optimisation was somebody else’s job, or nobody’s, and by the time anyone noticed the invoice was paid.
The site looks fine. It does nothing. Nobody in the firm can tell you why.
“Nothing on the site gives anyone a reason to trust us.”
Before anyone makes contact, they look for four things. Real photos of the people they’d actually deal with. Reviews from firms like theirs. Proof you’ve done this before. And the letters after your name.
Most accountants’ websites have none of them on the page. The photography is stock. The reviews aren’t displayed on the website. The accreditations you spent years earning are forty pixels wide in the footer. The case studies never got written because nobody asked a client for one.
A director is about to hand you their books, their payroll and their tax position. They go looking for a reason to trust your practice, find adjectives, and close the tab.
The websites we’ve built for our clients.
What finance firms say about us.
The numbers behind an accountancy website that works.
53% of people leave a website that takes more than three seconds to load on a phone.
Half the business owners who found your firm never saw a word of it.
Only 42% of mobile websites pass all three of Google’s Core Web Vitals.
Which is either the reason you can’t outrank the firm down the road, or the easiest advantage you’ll ever buy.
62% of all web traffic is now on a phone.
Your website was signed off on a partner’s desktop monitor. That isn’t where it’s being read.

Your accountancy website is a salesperson that never takes a day off.
Most accountancy firms have a website that hasn’t brought in an enquiry in months. We build accounting websites that bring leads in, and the SEO, the AI search and the marketing strategy are handled by the same team.

Nothing gets designed until we understand how your clients arrive. The director who’s just had a fee increase behaves differently to the contractor working out whether they need an accountant at all, and neither behaves like the business that incorporated last week. One website, three different routes through it.
So we map your practice, your specialisms and your target audience. What they search. Which questions get asked. Where people stall. What they need to see before they’ll make contact. We develop the whole journey, from the first search to the signed engagement letter.
That map becomes the sitemap, the page hierarchy, the service pages and the brief for every design decision that follows. Your website gets built around how your clients buy, not around your org chart.
A business owner decides whether your firm looks credible before they’ve read a sentence. Colour, type, spacing, whether the brand holds together from one page to the next. All of it lands first.
We create your design in-house, with a brand identity built for your practice.
The websites for accountants that actually perform share the same details. Real photography of your team. Room to breathe. And a look no other accounting firm has, which rules out anything that arrived with a subscription.
Your website should be impossible to mistake for the firm down the road. That’s the whole aim.
62% of the people looking at your website are on a phone. A director checks your firm out between client calls, in a car park, on the train home. Three seconds and they’re gone.
Every new website we build is fast, responsive and easy to move around. Clean navigation on mobile devices. Forms that work with a thumb. Load times under three seconds, which changes how long users stay and how the search engines rank you.
Worth knowing: Google indexes the phone version of your site, not the one signed off on a partner’s monitor. The version nobody in that meeting ever looked at is the version deciding whether anyone finds you at all.
New build or a rebuild of your current website, the aim doesn’t change. A responsive website that turns visitors into leads.
Most agencies hand over the keys and disappear. The site is finished, the invoice is paid, and whether it ever brings in a client stops being anybody’s problem.
We build the website and run the search into it. So the pages that rank are the pages built to convert, instead of the two jobs being done by two companies who’ve never spoken. Technical foundations, service pages built around real search terms, schema so the AI search engines know what your firm is, Google Analytics configured from day one.
Then we act on what it tells us. A contact form losing people gets rebuilt. A service page nobody reaches gets moved. Lead generation isn’t a launch-day event, it’s what the website does for the next three years.
And your team can manage it. A CMS you can edit without an invoice arriving, so a new starter, a price change or a blog post takes ten minutes instead of a fortnight.
Fast loading. Mobile-friendly. Properly structured web pages. Core web vitals passing on every page.
Site speed and site safety are critical trust signals for both buyers and search engines, and Google holds financial websites to a higher bar than almost any other industry.
Most agencies don’t touch technical SEO because clients don’t see it. We do. Our web developer runs a full technical SEO audit at the start of every engagement, fixes what’s broken and tracks performance through Google Search Console so you can see exactly what’s been done and what it’s changed.
When the technical foundations are right, every other piece of SEO compounds on top of it. When they’re wrong, content and backlinks never deliver what they should.
Honestly? You don’t even need to work with us to get value from us.

Website design for accountants: the questions we get asked most.
Anywhere from two to eight weeks, depending on page count, how much is bespoke, whether the copy exists and whether we’re migrating an existing website. It also depends on how quickly decisions get made. Sitemap, content, sign-off. We’ll tell you at the start exactly what we need from you and when, so nothing sits waiting. We will provide you with a time estimate at the proposal stage.
Yes. The website, the content, the domain, the hosting, the analytics, all of it is yours from day one. That isn’t true of most fully managed packages, where the website goes when the subscription stops. Worth reading your current contract before you assume otherwise.
You can edit it. A new team member, a service page, a price change, a blog post. The CMS is yours and your team gets trained on it. No admin charge for changing a phone number, no fortnight’s wait, no additional cost buried in the terms.
No, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. A website converts the people who find it. Something has to bring them: search engines, referrals, your Google Business Profile, social media channels, ads. A great site with no traffic is an expensive brochure. What a new website does is stop you losing the people already arriving, and give the SEO work something worth ranking.
That said, we build accountancy websites with SEO in from the start. Proper structure, page copy written around what your clients actually search, technical foundations that don’t fight you. It won’t rank on its own overnight, but you’re starting from a site built to rank rather than one that has to be fixed first.
It depends. The complexity of the design, how many pages you need, whether there are integrations like a client portal, whether we’re migrating an existing website and redirecting the URLs, whether the copy exists or we’re writing it, and whether your branding needs work first.
What it isn’t is £129 a month for a template. It also isn’t £25,000 for a website with stock photography. On a short call we’ll look at your current website, tell you what we’d change and give you a real figure. If we’re not the right fit for your firm, we’ll say so.
Six stages. Discovery, where we map your clients and your practice. Sitemap and wireframes, so the structure gets agreed before anyone picks a colour. Design, then your feedback, then the build. Content and sign-off, which is the part that needs your team. Then launch, and the search work that brings people to it. You see it at every stage. Nothing goes live that a partner hasn’t approved.
You keep the website. We hand over the CMS access, the domain, the hosting and the analytics, and another team can pick it up without rebuilding anything. No lock-in, no proprietary platform, no ransom. We’d rather you stayed because the work’s good.
Often just a redesign, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case. If the structure is sound and the technical foundations hold, a refresh of the design, the copy and the conversion points is faster and cheaper. A full rebuild is for sites that can’t be made fast, can’t be edited, or are built on something nobody supports any more. One thing worth saying: a redesign done badly can cost you the Google rankings you already have. That’s a real risk and it’s the reason we do both jobs rather than one.
Both. Most accountancy firms come to us with a logo from 2011, a blue nobody can name and no brand guidelines at all, which is why every page of the current website looks like a different person made it.
We can create a brand identity from scratch or take what you’ve got and sharpen it. Logo, colour palette, typography, photography direction, all written into brand guidelines your team can use. It matters more in this industry than most. Professional design signals the attention to detail people expect from an accountant, and a brand that holds together page to page does that job before anyone reads a word.
The aim is a brand that helps your firm stand out in a market where nearly every practice looks the same. If your branding could be swapped with the firm down the road and nobody would notice, it isn’t working for you.
